Watson mistaken for 12-year-old child

British actress Emma Watson was stopped at the U.S. Immigration Officials thought Because she was a child.

They mistook Watson, 22, as a 12-year-old.

The actress was stopped at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, where she was Questioned by Officials at the passport control, who Believed She Was an unaccompanied minor.

About Watson tweeted incident and wrote: "Passport control: 'unaccompanied minor?' Me: 'sorry?' Passport control: 'Where is your guardian?' Me: 'I am 22! Wearing back pack Never again. "

"The really sad thing Is that this is not the first Time This Has Happened," Further she posted.

Apparently Emma was mortified.

"It was very embarrassing but she managed to awkwardly laugh it off," people.com quoted a source as saying.

"The Americans are very serious about, who They let in and out of the country. If young kids are thought to be on Their Own, it poses a massive problem. Luckily, Emma managed to convince them how old she is," added the Source.

Watson was returning to the U.S. to continue her studies at Brown University in Rhode Island after taking time out to work on film projects
