Debutant Suraj Sharma gets a Bafta nomination in Rising Star Award category

In a proud moment 19-year-old Indian Actor Suraj Sharma, who has debuted in the film world with Oscar winner filmmaker Ang Lee's acclaimed film Life of Pi, has been nominated in the category of the Rising Star Award at Britain's prestigious Bafta awards. The Delhi-based star earned the role in the much-hyped film contenders by defeating 3.000. What is interesting to note That he is the only male player nominated in this category as all others are actresses, Namely, Juno Temple, Andrea Riseborough, Elizabeth Olsen and Alicia Vikander.

In Life of Pi, Sharma played the role of a boy who survives a shipwreck in Which his whole family dies. The whole film Revolves around his struggle to survive on a lifeboat while fighting with a ferocious Bengal tiger amid sea and Sharma impressed everyone with His brilliant performance. Life of Pi has received nine nominations at the award ceremony after grabbing second position only Steven Spielberg's period film has picked up Lincoln Which 10 nominations.
